A standard Vietnamese fishing boat pictured here on China Beach.  The eye on the bow is to keep evil spirits away and to help the fishermen to see through the darkness and fog.

A fish net in a river or coastal backwater.  It either worked on tidal movements or could be lowered and raised to trap fish.

A Buddhist compound in Da Nang.  The symbol at the peak of the roof would resemble the German Swastika if it were rotated 45 degrees to the right.  Hitler adopted this symbol from many cultures, even our American Indians had something similar.
