Everyone not actively required for
the Supergaggle preparation fires were hunkered down.

This 105mm howitzer gun crew is
loading a high explosive (HE) round to be delivered upon a pre-planned
target. Shrapnel from incoming kept the tires flat which, as part
of the recoil design function, could damage the gun when firing charge-7
rounds. For a closer look at the Marines click
