Our birds arrive during the monsoon season.
No paved parking areas provided so we park in the mud. Tractors and
Marines push aircraft to the runway. What a wonderful vacation in South
East Asia!!

Cpl. John Sabol found this young lady and first thought
he would keep her unto himself for the duration of the tour. He finally
relented however and shared her with the rest of the troops at "Mr Lucky's"
below which was named after the new YK-13 or "Mr. Lucky II."

German hospital ship treated Vietnamese casualties.
When she left her dock for the open sea we knew a rocket attack was imminent
in the Da Nang area. The Germans had better G-2 information than
we did.
