Phu Bai Sep/Oct '28. Several hundred of the
millions of plastic sand bags that were ultimately used in Vietnam. Both
Marines and local Vietnamese filled them. I believe we paid the Vietnamese
a few cents for each bag they filled.

These are pictures of our trip cards that used when as part of the crew carrying Bob Hope’s group around in December 1968. can’t remember the bird I crewed on or the Crew Chief but we carried them out the USS Hancock and watched the show.

We carried the Gold Diggers and The Hone LTD. I gave out our trip cards but also used a few to get a few autographs. It sure was a great Christmas. Bring around all those beautiful women was something to build up your spirits to say the least.
