Michael Quentin Koecher died in Las Vegas, NV, on January 7, 2003. He was born April 23, 1944 in Pensacola, FL to Quentin V. Koecher and Marjorie Ann Koecher. He and his family lived in Houston, TX for many years. He served in Vietnam with the U. S. Marine Corps and was awarded the Air Medal for Meritorious Achievement while serving as a helicopter aerial gunner in Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364. He was discharged June 4, 1965 with the rank of Lance Corporal. He completed high school in the military and attended Memphis State where he majored in accounting. After his service in the military he lived in Memphis, TN, Kodiak Island, AK, Phoenix, AZ, and Las Vegas, NV. He was married to the former Pat Grace of Memphis, TN, and to the former Jean Wade, also of Memphis. His sur- vivors are his father, Quentin V. Koecher of Pittsburg, TX, a sister, Ann Koecher Shine of Cypress, TX, three brothers, Tom Koecher of Vancouver, WA, Randy Koecher of Rosharon, TX, and Drew Koecher of Dallas, TX, his two daughters, Ann Koecher Jackson Wood of Olive Branch, MS, and Kim- berly Jean, an adopted son, Michael, and three grandchildren, Sean Michael Wood, Amanda Wood and Daniel Wood. Services were held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1915 Holman at Main, Houston, TX., Wednesday, January 15, at 1:30. He was interned at Forest Park West, Houston, TX.
