HM3 David Steinberg.  When entering this image I remembered a sign on one hospital ship, just about eye level with a CH-46 cockpit, that said, "You Find Them, We Bind Them."  Doc Steinberg did a lot of 'binding' on the hill for which many Marines are grateful!

"Spooky" or "Puff the Magic Dragon" (C-47 gunship) paid a visit to Hill 881N, this image shows the three mini-guns which were capable of firing appx. 4000 rounds a minute each.  From 2,500' above the ground they could put a round every inch over an area the size of a football field.  It was an awesome sight at night.

"Doc" Steinberg asked for a window seat on his initial trip to Hill 881S.  Some of the wounded, who were of marginal evacuee status, refused to leave the hill.  They considered the helo ride more dangerous than the enemy mortar, rocket and .51cal fire.

Hey Doc, Where's your clean, white and sterile work dress?  If we didn't know better, would think you were a 'grunt.'
