LCpl. Charles A. Reed
served with the 3rd Battalion, 26th Marines from 15 December 1967 until
they were disbanded at Camp Pendleton on April 20, 1970. It is believe
he was the last enlisted man in the battalion serving as the battalion's
Admin. Chief. GySgt. Reed retired on Aug 1,
1988.

It appears to be the high ground acroos the
river in Laos. I was in A Trp, 2/17 Cav 101st Abn and this was our area
of operation in '69, '70, & '71. We were an air cav troop and scouted
this area daily for infiltrating dinks.
